We’re TRansitioning

Transitions usher us into new experiences and opportunities.  As individuals and as a community these past months seemed filled with transitions.  Even as the Partnership, we experienced transitions.  The   Coronavirus Pandemic has every institution constantly shifting and changing. We are in a time that requires innovation, creativity, and flexibility. Since March 16th Durham’s Partnership for Children entered into virtual programming and service delivery.  We were thrust into the whirlwind of uncertainty much like the rest of the nation. By taking immediate action, our team was diligent in identifying and developing resources to support families, childcare providers, and the community virtually. It is now the summer season and four months later and we continue to work remotely while providing virtual services.

During this time of summer transition, we are actively working and restructuring our virtual plan and activities on our social media platforms. You may have noticed some of these changes.  Please stay tuned and keep an eye on our Social Media platforms as well as our website.  This will ensure you remain connected while far apart!

You don’t want to miss the new programming and opportunities being launched by the Partnership for the 20-21 program year!

 Question of the Week:

Question: Is there a way to sign up for benefits online?

Answer: North Carolina Families Accessing Services through Technology (NC FAST) is a program designed to improve the way the NC Department of Health and Human Services (NC DHHS) and county departments of social services (DSS) do business. Through the improved, mobile-friendly ePass website, families can apply for medical assistance, Food and Nutrition Services, and more. ePass serves to encourage physical distancing while still allowing families to apply for services available at DSS. You can apply for benefits online at https://epass.nc.gov/. Families will be required to create an NCID account if they do not have one already. The informational video at https://epass.nc.gov/login gives a step-by-step tutorial of how to sign-up and use ePass.
