imageMark your calendars for November 22nd!  Durham’s Partnership for Children has been named the beneficiary of SONAM’s (Singers of New and Ancient Music) fall concert. The concert will take place on Sunday, November 22nd at 3pm at First Presbyterian Church (304 E. Main St.), with a $10 suggested donation as admission. The Partnership will receive all donations collected that day.

SONAM is a chorus in Durham committed to creating high-quality sacred and secular choral music in a collaborative environment and giving back to the community. SONAM was founded in 2012 with two primary missions: to make excellent choral music, focusing primarily on the Renaissance and modern eras, and to support local non-profits through benefit concerts. SONAM consists of about 20 talented singers from central North Carolina and is a volunteer organization sustained by donations of time and resources.

The upcoming concert will feature music about parents and children from the Renaissance and modern eras, including works by Josquin, Victoria, Poulenc, Boquiren, Leary, and others

In the past Sonam has supported the work of Trosa, KidZNotes, Seeds, Caring House, Voices Together, and other local non-profits, and we are thrilled to be among these great organizations supported by this talented and generous group!
