The national symbol for child abuse prevention is the pinwheel, and April is Child Abuse Prevention Month! In addition to the Family Fun Day, there are other ways you can get involved in this effort. Prevent Child Abuse NC is sponsoring a garden of 2,000 pinwheels at the center of the American Tobacco Campus, and you can help them plant the pinwheels on Friday, April 8th from 12-1:30pm. The Partnership will also be planting our own pinwheel garden along with Child Care Services Association at our offices at 1201 S. Briggs, Avenue. For more information about Child Abuse Prevention Month, please visit Prevent Child Abuse NC.
The Exhange Family Center’s EChO (Early Childhood Outreach) program offers consultation services and support to child care providers and families when a young child’s behavior presents a challenge in the classroom. EChO is funded by the Partnership through Smart Start.
