We are proud to announce that our very own Danielle Johnson, NC Pre-K Program Manager at the Partnership, has won the Durham Technical Community College (DTCC) Adjunct and Part-Time Excellence in Teaching and Service Award! The Excellence in Teaching Award seeks to acknowledge those Adjunct instructors who make exemplary contributions to student learning and development and have a powerful impact on the students at DTCC.
In their nominations, Danielle’s students described her as “a humble and approachable person who loves to share her extensive knowledge with others” and “an amazing resource of information about early childhood research and community based programs.”
Ilene Britt, Program Director of Early Childhood Education at DTCC, and a Partnership Board member, also spoke very highly of Danielle:
“Congratulations to Danielle for this wonderful award recognizing her hard work and commitment to early childhood! It is with total confidence and great pride that I compose this letter in support of Danielle Johnson. Danielle is an over-comer, a problem solver, an innovator, and a dynamic member of our Early Childhood Education team. Her enthusiasm, love, and passion for teaching (and her students) is an asset to our department. I’ve witnessed the growth of a truly remarkable educator.”
Congratulations to Danielle for this wonderful award recognizing her hard work and commitment to early childhood!
