Durham’s Partnership for Children would like to say Happy Mother’s Day weekend to all of our mothers! Motherhood is a journey with many twists and turns. It’s the job that you do with your whole heart and often your work goes unseen. Being a mother is a labor of love, emotionally and physically. Mothers often take care of everyone before considering themselves. Preparing lunches for school, planning dinner before lunch is even finished. A mother’s super power is the ability to emotionally avail herself to her children even when she is filtering her own emotions. We want you to know that wherever you land on the spectrum of your motherhood journey, we see you and we applaud you for doing your best to raise your children! We encourage you to take care of yourselves this weekend and embrace the love and appreciation you deserve!
