Providing Masks in a Time of Need

 

 In this weeks blog DPFC would like to shed light on a community  initiative to support non-profits in securing mask NOT SURE HOW TO CONNCT the COVID sentence midst of COVID.

 

Durham County Government is asking any interested nonprofit based in and serving the Durham community to complete a short form online to request reusable cloth face masks. Masks are to be used primarily for nonprofit staff and volunteers. Once mask requests are received and reviewed, County staff will contact nonprofit representatives with further instructions on scheduling a pickup appointment. Contactless, drive-through mask distribution events will take place at the Durham Convention Center on select dates through July. Masks will be available while supplies last. Question: What is the Durham Neighbors Free Lunch Initiative?

 

Answer: Durham Neighbors Free Lunch Initiative is another opportunity for families in Durham to receive a free meal. Through August 17th, families can go to Geer Street Garden, located at 644 Foster St Durham, NC 27701, and receive a meal prepared with local ingredients. Families are not required to answer any questions in order to receive these meals. Durham Neighbors Free Lunch Initiative will have 200 meals available every week, Monday through Friday, from 10 AM to 2 PM. These meals are available on a first come first serve basis, and will be served in a contactless form to ensure the safety of everyone in attendance.
