Mark your calendar for Give Local America, a national event with local impact, taking place on Tuesday, May 6. Give Local America is a movement to reignite the spirit of giving across the country and support causes in local communities in which we live, work and play. During this 24 hour online giving event, people across the country will be coming together to “give local” and give back to their communities through a variety of nonprofits, community foundations and national partnerships.
We encourage you to “give local” on May 6th by making a gift to Durham’s Partnership for Children. We lead community strategies for children birth to 5 and their families to ensure that every child in Durham enters school ready to succeed. There are only about 2,000 days from the time a child is born until the time he or she begins kindergarten, and those early years are a crucial window of opportunity.
We know that early childhood experiences lay the foundation for success in school and in life. When we invest in early childhood care and education, we create the best possible outcomes in education, health and economic prosperity. And by supporting healthy learning and development for young children and families, we support the continued growth of our thriving local community.
Visit our donation page on May 6th in order to “give local” to Durham’s Partnership for Children, and please spread the word!
