With the Holiday season quickly approaching, traditions and festivities that we may have participated in with our loved ones are being considered. This time of year can already be stressful, now we have combined stressors of COVID- 19 and the potential threat it has on your family gatherings. We all know that isolation isn’t good for anyone , especially our growing and developing children. Family activities and gatherings are key factors in life that create emotional ties, memories and stability. In order for you to continue to provide a sense of routine and safety for your family we would like to provide you with some CDC Guidelines and Tips to keep you and your loved ones safe while gathering for your families festivities!

Question: Where can I go to get free clothing items for my children?
Answer: Welcome Baby has a Giving Closet that is open every Thursday from 9 AM to 1 PM for families by appointment only. Call (919) 560 – 7150 to make your appointment and be sure to arrive on time to check in at the entryway. Families are allowed to take up to 10 items of clothing per child with a limit of 30 for the entire family. Visit https://www.facebook.com/welcomebabydurham/ to fill out the Giving Closet order form and return it to www.welcomebabydurham@gmail.com by Tuesday at 5 PM. Diapers will not be distributed on this day. This is open to families of Durham County only, so you will be asked to provide proof of residency, your child’s birth certificate or Medicaid, and a parent’s ID.
