Families come in an variety of forms, the families we serve may not appear as the traditional nuclear family model. Having guardianship of a grandchild, niece, nephew or any other extended family member can be quite an adjustment. Grandparent Families or Grandfamilies, and other forms of extended family guardianship can present a multitude of challenges that traditional families may or may not experience. When the child is young there can be an extra layer of pressure. We at the Partnership understand that we serve families that may require extra resources, and we’re here for you! Duke Heart and the American Heart Association brings “Simple Cooking with Heart” to Durham County, a space where you can learn to cook healthier budget-friendly meals for your family! The free virtual course will be available every Thursday in March from 5:30-7:00 pm! This is an amazing resource for the Durham community that you want to take advantage of! Pease see some helpful resources along with the event below.
