Downtown Durham Child Care Initiative moving forward

Durham's Partnership for Children, Downtown Durham, Inc. (DDI) and The Greater Durham Chamber of Commerce met in late October with downtown business and community leaders for a final discussion surrounding the Downtown Durham Child Care Initiative that has been gaining momentum over the past year. Two earlier strategic discussions took place in August of 2009 and February of 2010. We introduced this initiative to shed light on the importance of young children and the critical role employers play in making Durham a great place to raise a young family.
